Tehran (HRNW)- Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that any US economic and naval blockade against Iran could impose greater financial costs on Washington than on Tehran.
According to Iranian news agency Mehr, Revolutionary Guards spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohibi claimed that for every dollar of economic damage the United States attempts to inflict on Iran, Washington could face several dollars in costs and losses.
Mohibi also said US President Donald Trump believes Iran can be forced to accept American demands through military pressure, but claimed recent developments have disproved that approach.
The Iranian official further argued that the United States is already facing significant debt and economic competition from major powers, including China, making it difficult for Washington to achieve its objectives through sanctions and military action.
His remarks come amid continuing military and economic tensions between Iran and the United States, with concerns over the impact of sanctions and naval pressure on global energy markets and international trade.
