Tehran (HRNW)- Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Ali Abdullahi has accused the United States of attempting to overcome what he described as battlefield setbacks through economic pressure, psychological operations and media campaigns.
According to Iranian media reports, Abdullahi said Washington was seeking to shift the confrontation to other fronts to address its strategic weaknesses and military failures. He stressed that Iran would not surrender and claimed that a combined campaign of economic pressure, media operations and military threats would not force the Iranian people to abandon their national values.
The Iranian commander described expectations of an Iranian surrender as unrealistic and accused the United States and Israel of using “soft war” and economic pressure to compensate for what he characterized as military and regional setbacks.
Abdullahi also highlighted the growing importance of the “narrative war,” saying the media has a central role in maintaining public morale and preserving the initiative. He further claimed that Iran’s resistance model could contribute to a shift in the global balance of power and a decline in US influence.
