Islamabad (HRNW) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has temporarily restrained the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from announcing the results of its recruitment examinations until further orders.
The interim order was issued by Justice Azam Khan during the hearing of a petition filed by citizen Yasir Arafat.
During the proceedings, the petitioner’s counsel, Advocate Afrasiab Ahmed Rana, argued that the FIA conducted the recruitment examination using questions that were outside the officially prescribed syllabus, causing significant prejudice to candidates.
The counsel further informed the court that a written complaint regarding the alleged irregularities had previously been submitted to the FIA. However, after the issue remained unresolved, the petitioner sought judicial intervention.
After hearing the arguments, the Islamabad High Court ordered the FIA not to announce the recruitment test results until a final decision is reached in the case.
The court’s order is interim in nature. The allegations raised in the petition have not been finally adjudicated, and the matter will be decided on the basis of evidence and subsequent legal proceedings.
