Lahore (HRNW)– The Election Commission has taken notice of media reports regarding the presence of ministers in the National Assembly constituency NA-185 DG Khan.
The Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab has sought an immediate report on the incident from the District Monitoring Officer.
According to the spokesperson, notices have been issued to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Huzaifa Rehman and Federal Minister Owais Leghari for violation of the election code of conduct and they have been directed to submit an explanation on November 21.
The Election Commission has clarified that the code of conduct is being strictly implemented in the constituency.

According to the District Returning Officer, close monitoring of election activities in the constituency is being done through various means and no minister or advisor will be allowed to participate in the election campaign.
The Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab has said that immediate action will be taken against the violation of the code of conduct and transparent, fair and impartial elections will be ensured at all costs.
