KARACHI (HRNW) – A tragic and horrific domestic incident occurred in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase 2, within the limits of the Steel Town Police Station, where a wife and her son allegedly bludgeoned the head of the family to death with a hammer. Taking immediate notice of the brutal murder, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Dr. Abdul Khaleq, directed the formation of specialized police teams to track down and apprehend the culprits swiftly. Utilizing advanced technical data and investigative methods, the Steel Town SHO led a targeted operation and successfully arrested the deceased man’s wife and son, identified as Kubra, wife of Anwar Khan, and Salahuddin, son of Anwar Khan. During the initial interrogation, both suspects confessed to their crime and revealed that the killing took place in the heat of the moment during a severe domestic altercation, during which Salahuddin repeatedly struck his father, Anwar Khan, with a hammer, causing fatal injuries that resulted in his immediate death on the spot. Following the completion of preliminary legal formalities, the police have handed over the custody of the mother and son to the Investigation Wing for further legal proceedings and detailed interrogation, while further probe into the incident remains underway.
