Islamabad (HRNW)- A important quadrilateral meeting was held in Islamabad hosted by Pakistan to address the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, bringing together the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the participants, including the Saudi Foreign Minister who arrived via a special flight.
During the high-level consultative session, the leaders discussed the evolving regional situation, ceasefire prospects, and various proposals for peace. All parties agreed that dialogue and negotiations remain the most effective path toward resolving conflicts. The first round of talks concluded with an understanding that further rounds will be held soon to review progress on proposed measures.
On the sidelines, Ishaq Dar held separate meetings with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Atty. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation in trade, defense, and investment, and addressing regional challenges through diplomacy. Pakistan reaffirmed its support for Palestine and appreciated Egypt’s humanitarian role in Gaza.
The meetings underscored a shared commitment to peace, stability, and deeper strategic partnerships among participating nations amid rapidly changing regional dynamics.
