Karachi (HRNW) — A citizen, Talha Korai, has filed a petition in court against a private mobile SIM company, seeking Rs. 2 million in damages and requesting that the company be directed to provide six months of package service as compensation.
According to the petitioner, he subscribed to a weekly package through the company’s mobile app, and Rs. 823 were deducted from his account — but the package was never activated. He stated that the issue remained unresolved even after contacting the regional office, and despite serving a legal notice, the company failed to respond.
Talha Korai informed the court that the failure to activate the package caused him to lose clients and professional fees, adding that the security of the company’s app and digital accounts was questionable. He argued that the company had severely breached his trust.
The court has issued notices to the mobile company, seeking a response, and will set a date for the next hearing of the case.
