Lahore (HRNW) — The Lahore High Court has rejected the interim bail applications of five accused, including former Kasur SHO Hassan Imran and Sub-Inspector Sadiq.
Following the court’s decision, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested the former SHO and the other accused from the court premises.
The accused are alleged to have been involved in the killing of a lawyer’s brother in a purported fake police encounter in 2024. Following an inquiry into the police encounter, the FIA registered a case against the former SHO and other accused.
With the rejection of their interim bail applications, the FIA proceeded to arrest the accused. The allegations will be subject to further investigation and judicial proceedings, where the legal responsibility of each accused will be determined in accordance with law.
