Karachi (HRNW) — On February 20, 2026, marking International Mother Language Day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that every child has a natural right to be educated in their mother tongue. He emphasized that learning in one’s native language builds confidence, nurtures creativity, and ensures equal opportunities.
According to the Bilawal House media cell, he highlighted Pakistan’s rich linguistic diversity, which reflects its varied cultures and traditions. He noted that every mother tongue carries centuries of wisdom, folklore, struggles, and dreams. Protecting these languages, he said, is synonymous with preserving collective memory and safeguarding the future.
Reiterating his party’s commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive development, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stressed that unity does not mean uniformity. He said a strong Pakistan respects and celebrates every language spoken in its land.
The PPP chairman urged policymakers, educators, and the public to ensure the protection and promotion of mother languages for future generations.
