Lahore (HRNW)- 350 Umrah pilgrims have been facing severe difficulties for the past three days due to the cancellation of a foreign airline flight. The incident took place on February 20, 2026.
According to sources, the Umrah pilgrims were supposed to leave Lahore for Jeddah on Wednesday, but the flight was suddenly canceled. Passengers and Umrah pilgrims also protested against the foreign airline at the hotel after the flight was canceled.
The Umrah pilgrims say that after the scheduled flight to Jeddah was canceled three days ago, they were shifted to different hotels, but despite the passage of three days, no clear response has been given by the airline administration.
According to the affected pilgrims, the flight was canceled after the boarding pass was issued and they were told that there was a technical fault in the plane. The Umrah pilgrims further say that their hotel bookings in Saudi Arabia had already been made, which was canceled due to the cancellation of the flight, due to which they also had to bear financial losses.
The affected passengers have demanded that the authorities immediately arrange an alternative flight and resolve their problems.
