Two FIA Officials Arrested in Islamabad Over Alleged Immigration Bribery Case

Islamabad (HRNW)- Two Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials have been arrested after charges of accepting bribes from passengers to clear immigration have been filed.

According to FIA officials, four passengers along with two officials have been named in the case in the case of accepting bribes for clearing immigration. The case was registered by the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Cell Wing.

According to the text of the FIR, during the investigation, an FIA official confessed that he cleared immigration by accepting money from 12 passengers in a week.

In this regard, Usman Anwar (DG FIA) has said that illegal activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances and there is no room for black sheep in the organization. He said that the process of transparency and accountability in the FIA ​​is being further tightened.

According to the FIA, further investigation into the incident is underway and strict action will be taken against the involved elements as per the law.
