Karachi: The results of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) in Sindh have been released; out of 33,336 candidates, 16,507 have been declared successful.
According to Sukkur IBA officials, the success rate for the MDCAT in Sindh stood at 49.5 percent, while no student from Karachi made it to the list of the top 20 candidates.
Officials noted that students from Tharparkar demonstrated outstanding performance, with five of them securing places in the top 20. These candidates scored between 176 and 179 out of a total of 180 marks, while 12 students from Tharparkar were included among the top 50 candidates.
Sukkur IBA officials reported that 9,505 candidates from Karachi participated in the MDCAT, with 5,492 succeeding. Eighteen students from Karachi made it to the top 100, while 111 Karachi students secured positions in the top 500.
According to officials, 1,027 candidates from Tharparkar took the test, and 613 of them were declared successful.
