Iran: According to the lawyers of Iranian singer Parastoo Ahmadi, the court has decided to uphold the sentence of 74 lashes handed down to her.
The 29-year-old singer had performed in a sleeveless outfit during a concert broadcast on YouTube in December 2024. After the video surfaced, Iranian authorities initiated proceedings against the singer, deeming the performance a violation of national laws and cultural regulations.
According to her lawyers, the court has upheld the 74-lash sentence in its recent ruling.
