“Innocent People Are in Jail; We Are Now Looking to God in the Heavens”: Sheikh Rasheed

Rawalpindi (HRNW) — Former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that innocent people are being held in prisons and that they are now looking only toward God in the heavens for justice.

Speaking in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed claimed that his nephew is innocent but has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.

He said he was abroad when the incident in question took place and that the entire matter unfolded during his absence.

Sheikh Rasheed called for justice and stressed that legal and constitutional rights should be ensured for those facing imprisonment.
