Body Found in Bags in Malir City Remains Unidentified

Karachi (HRNW), August 12, 2026: The identity of a person whose dismembered remains were found inside bags in the Gulshan-e-Qari area of Malir City remains unknown.

According to police, a case has been registered on behalf of the state on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Sadaqat Ali. The FIR states that police recovered three bags from the scene and opened them for inspection.

Police said the first bag contained a human head, while the second contained the torso and severed fingers. The third bag contained the lower portion of the body and both legs.

The remains were shifted to a hospital for legal formalities and post-mortem examination.

Police estimate the deceased to be approximately 27 to 28 years old. However, the condition of the remains has made immediate identification difficult.

Investigators are continuing efforts to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further investigation is underway.
