Islamabad (HRNW)- Banks and financial institutions across Pakistan will remain closed for three consecutive days — August 14, 15 and 16 — according to a circular issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
According to the circular, the State Bank, Pakistan Stock Exchange and other banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Friday, August 14, on account of Independence Day, which is a public holiday.
Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16, will be the regular weekend holidays, resulting in a three-day closure for banking and financial institutions.
The State Bank clarified that essential banking services will continue to remain available during the holidays, with ATMs and online banking services operating as usual.
Customers have therefore been advised to use digital banking channels and ATMs for routine transactions during the three-day closure.
