Hot and Humid Weather to Persist as Monsoon Rains Expected Across Sindh

Karachi (HRNW)- The weather in Karachi will remain partly cloudy, hot, and humid today, with thunderstorms expected in the city’s suburban areas.

According to the Early Warning Center of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, light rain or drizzle is also likely in parts of Karachi, while light rain is expected on Saturday and drizzle is forecast for Sunday.

The Meteorological Department said a low-pressure area is present over western Rajasthan and adjoining regions, allowing strong monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea to continuously enter the southern and central parts of Pakistan.

According to the forecast, strong winds, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are expected intermittently in the districts of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Jamshoro, and Shaheed Benazirabad from today until July 27.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated locations across rural Sindh.

The Meteorological Department further stated that Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Khairpur, and Naushahro Feroze are expected to receive light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds, gusts, and thunderstorms at intervals through July 27.
