Peshawar (HRNW)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said the party’s September 27 march will be peaceful and aimed at seeking justice, while inviting all opposition parties to participate.
Speaking to the media at the Peshawar High Court, Barrister Gohar said there would be no chaos during the march and no government resources would be used.
He strongly criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s reported remarks regarding the creation of provinces, saying provinces should not be formed on an experimental basis or through hasty decisions that could harm the federation. He said PTI’s core and political committees had also discussed the matter and demanded that the Punjab Chief Minister withdraw her statement.
Barrister Gohar said political and personal differences should remain separate from national peace and stability. He added that PTI expected Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the wider opposition to join the September 27 march.
He said the people wanted democratic change, protection of rights and new elections, while emphasizing the need to reduce political polarization and division. He reiterated that PTI’s planned long march would remain peaceful.
