FIA Arrests Human Smuggler in Lahore Over Spain Work Visa Fraud

Lahore (HRNW) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore, has arrested a suspected human smuggler allegedly involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Muhammad Irfan, was arrested during a raid conducted in Kasur.

The FIA alleged that the accused fraudulently obtained Rs. 5.05 million from a citizen on the promise of arranging a work visa for Spain. However, the suspect allegedly failed to send the victim abroad and subsequently went into hiding.

Following his arrest, the suspect has been taken into custody, and a formal investigation has been initiated to determine the full extent of the alleged fraud and identify any potential accomplices.

The FIA reiterated its commitment to combating human smuggling and visa fraud, urging the public to verify overseas employment offers through authorized channels and report suspicious agents to the relevant authorities.
