Karachi: Another petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court challenging the service regulations of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD).
The petitioner’s counsel argued that the legal validity of the current service regulations is questionable; therefore, a thorough inquiry is essential before any amendments or revisions are made to them.
The counsel informed the court that illegal financial transactions worth billions of rupees were allegedly carried out based on these very regulations, a matter that requires prior investigation.
Indicating that it might issue an order regarding the matter, the court stated that the Executive Director of NICVD could be summoned if necessary, and a response could also be sought from the Sindh government.
