March 5 Deadline Nears for Mandatory M-Tag Installation on Motorcycles

Islamabad (HRNW)- Only 2 days are left for the deadline for mandatory installation of M-tags on motorcycles in the federal capital.

DG Excise Irfan Memon has extended the deadline for installing M-tags until March 5 in view of the convenience of citizens. It has been given for mandatory installation of M-tags on motorcycles in the federal capital.

DG Excise Irfan Memon has appealed to citizens to ensure the installation of M-tags on their motorcycles by March 5 to avoid legal action.

He said that in view of Ramadan, the working hours of M-tag centers have also been changed, where work is going on in 24, 12 and 8-hour shifts at different centers.

According to official data, a total of 8,928 motorcycles have been installed with M-tags, out of which a record 2,069 bikes were tagged in the last 24 hours. A total of 238,080 vehicles have been issued M-Tags so far.

Irfan Memon appealed to the citizens to support us in the campaign regarding M-Tag, the process of registration of bikes and online taxis is going on separately. The aim of all the measures is to make the city and the citizens’ journey safe.
