KARACHI (HRNW) –A devastating road accident at Korangi Crossing has claimed the life of a three-year-old girl and left her minor brother and uncle critically injured after a speeding oil tanker overran their motorcycle.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as 3-year-old Saira, a resident of Korangi Allah Wala Town, was traveling with her 18-year-old uncle, Raj Muhammad, and her one-year-old brother, Subhan, to buy juice when the tragedy occurred.
The speeding oil tanker struck the motorcycle with immense force near Korangi Crossing. Saira died on the spot due to the severity of her injuries, while Raj Muhammad and infant Subhan sustained serious wounds and were rushed to the hospital.
The bereaved family, originally from Gilgit-Baltistan, had moved to Karachi for employment. Following the completion of legal formalities at the hospital, the child’s body was handed over to her grieving relatives.
Local authorities are investigating the incident, as concerns grow over the reckless driving of heavy vehicles within city limits.
