Lahore (HRNW)- Pakistan Hockey Federation President Tariq Bugti has announced his resignation from his post. Talking to the media, Tariq Bugti said that he has sent his resignation to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and has requested the Prime Minister and Field Marshal to form a committee to investigate.
Tariq Bugti held the Pakistan Sports Board responsible for the mismanagement and announced a 2-year ban on domestic and international hockey on Imad Shakeel Butt.
The Hockey Federation President said that the funds for the Pro Hockey League were with the Pakistan Sports Board, but the board was completely unable to handle things. The Hockey Federation did not have enough funds to handle all the matters itself, and due to this, difficulties arose during the tour of Australia.
He said that the PSB did not pay the money for hotel booking in Australia on time, and when he himself went to collect the funds, he was told that the money would take two months to arrive.
Tariq Bugti, while mentioning his performance, said that our world ranking was 18th and is now 13th, and it is hoped that the team will perform well in the qualifying round for which it is going.
