Peshawar Apex Committee Vows Joint Civil-Military Action to Strengthen Anti-Terror Operations

Peshawar (HRNW)- The ongoing war against terrorism was discussed in detail in the meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee, which was attended by provincial ministers, Corps Commander Peshawar and senior civil and military officials.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Provincial Minister Sohail Afridi said that the government and the Pakistani armed forces are on the same page in the war against terrorism and joint efforts will continue to eradicate this scourge. He said that all institutions are working in cooperation to improve the law and order situation in the province.

Sohail Afridi said that the meeting also agreed to make anti-terrorism measures more effective, strengthen intelligence sharing and operations of security forces. He clarified that the protection of lives and property of the people will be ensured at all costs and indiscriminate operations will continue against terrorist elements.

The meeting also discussed the overall security situation of the province, law and order in border areas and issues related to the protection of development projects.
