Rawalpindi (HRNW)- The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency is promoting sports and healthy recreational activities through the padel tennis court located beneath the Sixth Road flyover.
The facility has become a venue for young people to participate in constructive sporting activities and provides an opportunity for citizens to engage in physical exercise and recreation.
Special arrangements have also been made to facilitate women’s participation in sports, with dedicated sports facilities available at the padel tennis court.
Students from various colleges and universities are also using the facility, which combines physical activity, recreation, and teamwork. The initiative demonstrates how previously underutilized space beneath the flyover has been converted into a public facility.
The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency said sports facilities contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens and support the physical health and mental well-being of young people.
Alongside the promotion of sports, the agency is continuing efforts to improve the appearance and cleanliness of parks, green belts, and other public spaces across Rawalpindi.
Citizens have been encouraged to make full use of the available sports facilities and help protect public spaces by maintaining cleanliness and taking care of public property.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to make Rawalpindi a greener, healthier, cleaner, and more vibrant city while providing residents with greater opportunities for positive and constructive activities.
