Rawalpindi (HRNW) — Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir hosted a reception for former personnel of the Pakistan Army on the occasion of Independence Day, honouring their services and contributions to the country’s defence.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the reception was attended by former Army Chiefs as well as a large number of retired military officers and personnel.
ISPR said Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the services and contributions of veterans in defending the country and appreciated their role in strengthening national resilience.
The military’s media wing said the experience and guidance of veterans remain a valuable institutional asset in dealing with the complex security environment.
The veterans expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and reaffirmed their continued support for the military in addressing emerging security challenges.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their role in promoting national unity, peace and prosperity.
