Islamabad (HRNW) — Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has demanded that the price of petrol be reduced to Rs225 per litre and bread to Rs10, announcing nationwide sit-ins from tomorrow.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said the party would hold sit-ins across the country to pressure the government to provide relief to the public amid rising inflation.
He warned that if the government attempted to obstruct the protests or took any “adventure,” the demonstrations could turn into a campaign to oust the government.
The JI chief called on the government to provide immediate relief to the public and reduce the prices of petrol and essential commodities.
