**KARACHI (HRNW)** – Five people were trapped under a fallen tree in Korangi No. 5 due to heavy rain and strong winds that caused a large tree to collapse. Upon receiving information about the incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Syed Adnan Bukhari of Awami Colony Police Station immediately rushed to the scene with police personnel and initiated rescue operations.
Through immediate action by police and local residents, all five people trapped under the tree were safely rescued. During the rescue operation, one person’s condition was reported as critical, while the others were extracted with minor injuries. The injured individuals were immediately transferred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for initial medical aid. One of the injured remains in critical condition and is receiving medical treatment.
Speaking to people present at the scene, SHO Syed Adnan Bukhari advised citizens to take precautionary measures during rain and strong winds, and to avoid standing unnecessarily near trees and weak walls to prevent any potential accidents. Local residents praised the police’s performance for their timely action and immediate rescue efforts, stating that if the police had not reached the scene promptly, the risk of casualties could have increased significantly.
