KARACHI (HRNW): A Judicial Magistrate (East) has ordered the judicial remand of a suspect, identified as Faisal, following his arrest on charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography. The suspect was produced before the court by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday.
The NCCIA officials informed the court that Faisal was apprehended at Millennium Mall in Gulistan-e-Jauhar following a formal complaint. Upon inspection of the suspect’s mobile phones, investigators allegedly discovered a significant number of videos depicting child pornography.
During the hearing, the court sent the accused to jail on judicial remand and directed the Investigation Officer (IO) to submit a formal charge sheet (Challan) at the next hearing. The NCCIA is currently conducting further forensic analysis of the seized digital devices to determine if the suspect was part of a larger network.
