NADRA Simplifies CNIC Process for Citizens Following Interior Minister’s Directives

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Following the directives of the Interior Minister, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has developed a simplified and accessible procedure for citizens who do not yet possess a National Identity Card (CNIC). This new framework has been formally approved by the NADRA Authority Board.

Under these revised guidelines, married women aged 18 and above are now required to provide a Nikahnama (Marriage Certificate) as a mandatory document to facilitate the issuance of their CNIC.

This initiative is specifically aimed at assisting citizens who have faced hurdles in obtaining their legal identification due to various procedural complexities. By streamlining these requirements, NADRA aims to ensure that every eligible citizen is integrated into the national database.
