Karachi (HRNW) – A suspected shooter belonging to the Lyari gang was killed during a joint operation conducted by police and federal intelligence agencies in the Pak Colony area.
According to SSP District Kemari Police spokesperson, the suspect opened heavy fire on law enforcement personnel during the raid near Old Golimar, prompting additional police reinforcements. In the ensuing exchange of fire, one suspect was killed while his accomplices managed to escape.
SSP Kemari Amjad Ahmed Sheikh identified the slain suspect as Saleh Muhammad alias “Sawali,” an alleged associate of Lyari gang shooter and extortionist Jamil Jadgal. Police stated that the accused was wanted in multiple serious criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, extortion, and an armed attack on a police officer. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from his possession. Further investigations are underway, and a search operation has been launched to arrest the absconding accomplices.
