Sindh Bans Photography in Government Girls Colleges Across the Province

Karachi (HRNW)-The Sindh College Education Department has officially imposed a ban on photography in government girls colleges across the province. A formal notification has been issued, directing all principals of government girls colleges to strictly implement the order.

According to the notification, photography of female students or the promotion and sharing of such images within college premises will not be allowed under any circumstances. Any violation of this directive may result in disciplinary and/or legal action against those responsible.

The Director of Colleges, Sindh, stated that the department had received formal complaints regarding photography of students in certain government girls colleges, after which these images were allegedly misused on various social media platforms. Such acts, he said, constitute serious violations of social and religious values as well as national laws.

The Director further added that the Special Secretary Education took strict notice of the matter and instructed immediate action, following which a complete ban on photography and its dissemination in colleges has been enforced.

The College Education Department clarified that in case of any violation, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned principals and responsible staff members.

According to the department, the primary objective of this decision is to ensure the safety, dignity, and privacy of female students, and to maintain a secure and respectful environment within educational institutions.
