Islamabad (HRNW) — The President of Pakistan has approved the appointment of three new Additional Judges of the High Court of Balochistan for a period of one year.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on August 11, 2026, the appointments have been made under Article 197 read with Article 175A(8) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The newly appointed Additional Judges of the Balochistan High Court are:
- Mr. Muhammad Rauf Atta — Advocate Supreme Court
- Mr. Allah Dad Roshan — District & Sessions Judge
- Mr. Abdul Qayyum Lehri — District & Sessions Judge
The notification states that the appointments will take effect from the date the newly appointed judges take oath of their offices and will remain effective for one year.
Copies of the notification have been forwarded to the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, High Court of Balochistan, Office of the Attorney General for Pakistan and the Government of Balochistan, among other relevant authorities.
One-Year Appointment
The appointment of the three Additional Judges is expected to strengthen the judicial capacity of the Balochistan High Court and assist in the disposal of pending cases and the smooth functioning of judicial proceedings.
