Islamabad (HRNW) — The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), CCRC Islamabad, has arrested three foreign nationals in connection with an alleged illegal call centre operation and fraudulent activities.
According to the NCCIA, a case has been registered under FIR No. 155/2026, invoking Section 14 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 along with relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The agency alleged that the suspects were operating an illegal call centre and had been recruiting Pakistani nationals through online platforms for activities linked to fraud.
During the operation, NCCIA officials reportedly recovered several electronic devices and other material considered relevant to the investigation.
The agency said further investigation is underway to identify other individuals who may be involved in the alleged network and to determine the full scope of the activities.
