New Delhi (HRNW) — Amnesty International has raised concerns over India’s new foreign-funding regulations, saying the changes could further restrict civil society organizations and undermine the right to freedom of association.
According to Amnesty International, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs adopted amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Rules on June 22, 2026, increasing controls affecting organizations receiving foreign contributions.
