Juba, South Sudan (HRNW) – The World Food Programme (WFP) and the Government of South Sudan have activated the country’s first-ever anticipatory drought action plan to protect more than 65,000 people from severe climate-induced food insecurity. The initiative provides early financial and humanitarian assistance before drought conditions worsen, helping vulnerable communities safeguard livelihoods and reduce future humanitarian needs.
