Karachi (HRNW)- Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, Governor Sindh, met with Jamshed Alam, Divisional Superintendent of Pakistan Railways Karachi Division at the Governor House. The meeting took place in a pleasant and positive atmosphere in which detailed discussions were held on the improvement of the railway system and the provision of modern facilities to passengers.
During the meeting, it was agreed to eliminate encroachments on railway land, recover railway properties, and make the ongoing operation more effective, fast and transparent. Along with this, comprehensive consultations were also held on the plans to introduce safe, comfortable and modern facilities for passengers.
The Governor Sindh appreciated the overall performance of Pakistan Railways in Karachi Division and said that the improvement of the railway system will provide significant improvement in travel facilities to the citizens. On this occasion, Divisional Superintendent Jamshed Alam briefed the Governor Sindh about the ongoing projects, future strategy and expected modern facilities for passengers.
The meeting is being described as a reflection of the commitment to positive, sustainable and people-friendly reforms in Pakistan Railways.
