Islamabad (HRNW)- A unique and surprising move by the Islamabad Police has come to light in the District and Sessions Courts Islamabad, where a new challan has been presented again in the case against PTI founder Imran Khan, who was previously acquitted with honor.
According to the details, a new challan was submitted to the court by the Islamabad Police in the said case, however, the court registered the case based on the existing acquittal decision.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan, while lawyers Sardar Shusheeb Khan and Zahid Bashir Dar appeared in the court on behalf of the founder PTI.
During the hearing, Sardar Shusheeb Khan Advocate took the position that this is probably the first time in judicial history that a challan has been presented again in the same case after an accused has been acquitted. He took the position that the same court had already acquitted the founder PTI with honor.
On this, Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan directed that the previous court order be presented so that the record could be reviewed. Later, the PTI founder’s lawyers presented an acquittal order in the court, on which the court, after a detailed review of the record, filed the case with a new challan.
It should be noted that a case was registered against PTI founder Imran Khan in the context of the Azadi March at Tarnol police station.
