Chaman (HRNW)- The Pakistan Army has foiled an infiltration attempt by Fitna-ul-Khawarij in the Chaman sector along the Pak-Afghan border, according to security sources.

Officials said the army is continuing operations to protect the border fence and prevent illegal infiltration in the sensitive border region. Security sources revealed that a group of 3 to 4 Khawarij militants attempted to cut the border fence in the area adjacent to the Chaman sector, but the attempt was thwarted due to timely and effective action by Pakistani forces.

During the exchange of fire, one foreign terrorist was killed, while the remaining militants escaped with injuries, sources added.

Following the operation, security forces recovered 4 to 5 ready-made improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along with equipment used for cutting the border fence from the terrorists.

Security officials stated that the organized and swift response by the Pakistan Army successfully foiled the nefarious plans of the militants, ensuring the security of the border area.
