Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has said that considering sending American ground troops to Iran at this time would be a waste of time. In an interview with a US television channel, Trump stated that there is currently no plan to deploy US troops to Iran. He added that under the present circumstances it is unnecessary to think about launching ground operations against Iran. The US president further claimed that Iran has suffered heavy losses during the conflict and has lost significant military assets, including parts of its navy. Trump also dismissed the Iranian foreign minister’s statement that Iran is prepared for a possible US ground attack, calling the claim baseless.
