BBC Report Highlights Rising Anti-India Sentiment Among Bangladesh Youth

Dhaka (HRNW)- A new BBC report from Dhaka has revealed growing resentment toward India among Bangladesh’s younger generation, bringing increasing anti-India sentiment into public focus. According to the report, many young Bangladeshis are rejecting what they describe as India’s political interference, influence in internal affairs, border-related violence, and hegemonic behavior in the region. The report further states that a significant number of youths believe India weakened democratic values in Bangladesh by supporting former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and backing state actions viewed by critics as repressive. Following the country’s disputed elections, India is increasingly being perceived by segments of the population as prioritizing its strategic interests over democratic principles.
