Saudi Arabia and Somalia Sign Major Military Cooperation Agreement

Riyadh (HRNW)- Saudi Arabia and Somalia have signed an important memorandum of understanding on military cooperation during a ceremony held in Riyadh. The agreement was signed by Somali Defense Minister Ahmed Muallem Faki and Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, aiming to strengthen defense relations, promote joint military training, exchange expertise, and enhance defense capabilities between the two countries. Although further details have not yet been released, the agreement is being viewed as a significant step amid rising political and military tensions in the region and efforts to protect national sovereignty. Officials say the partnership reflects growing regional cooperation and shared strategic interests.
