Gold Prices See Historic Drop as Local Market in Karachi Records Massive Decline

Karachi (HRNW)- The global and local gold markets witnessed the third biggest decline in history today, the effects of which were also felt in Pakistan.

In the local market, 24-carat gold per tola fell by Rs 21,400 to Rs 507,762. Similarly, ten grams of gold fell by Rs 18,347 to Rs 435,324.

The price of silver also fell and the price of silver per tola fell by Rs 1,430 to Rs 7,825.

In the global market, gold fell by $ 214 per ounce to $ 4,850, after which gold once again fell below $ 5,000 at the global level.

According to experts, this decline in gold prices is due to uncertain economic conditions and investment trends in the global market, while fluctuations in the value of the rupee against the dollar at the local level are also being cited as a major reason.
