Islamabad (HRNW): Pakistan and Kazakhstan have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements covering a wide range of sectors, including mining, petroleum, maritime, customs, railways, transit trade, plant protection, veterinary services, artificial intelligence, and digital development.
The MoUs and agreements were exchanged following a joint statement in the presence of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In addition, both countries exchanged documents on cooperation regarding United Nations peacekeeping forces and prisoner exchanges.
Earlier, a warm reception was held at the Prime Minister House in honor of the Kazakh president. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the distinguished guest, and both leaders engaged in a cordial handshake and discussion.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of both countries and a guard of honor presented by a disciplined contingent. The event is being hailed as a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations and promoting trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
