Karachi (HRNW) — Chaakiwara Police have arrested three alleged members of a gang reportedly involved in street crime and motorcycle theft, according to police.
Police said the operation was conducted at Mira Naka Chowk, Lyari, under the supervision of ASI Ghulam Akbar. The arrested suspects were identified as Sheeraz son of Shehzad, Farhan son of Aslam, and Moez son of Mahmood.
According to police, a 30-bore pistol along with two rounds was recovered from the possession of suspect Farhan. Police also recovered two allegedly stolen motorcycles during the operation.
The recovered motorcycles were identified as:
- KDA-7786 — Super Power 70, allegedly stolen in connection with FIR No. 151/2025, registered at Arambagh Police Station under Section 381-A PPC.
- KQZ-2514 — Union Star 70, allegedly linked to FIR No. 299/2026, registered at Arambagh Police Station under Section 381-A PPC.
Police further stated that several cases are registered against the arrested suspects. These include FIR No. 211/2026 under Section 23(i)A of the Sindh Arms Act at Chaakiwara Police Station, along with the two motorcycle theft cases registered at Arambagh Police Station.
According to police records, suspect Sheeraz had previously been arrested in connection with FIR No. 307/2024 under Section 381-A PPC at SITE-A Police Station.
Chaakiwara Police said further investigation is underway to determine whether the suspects were involved in additional incidents of street crime and motorcycle theft.
