New Delhi (HRNW) — A 44-year-old Indian Air Force Wing Commander has reportedly been arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on allegations of spying for a Pakistani intelligence agency and sharing sensitive defence information, according to Indian media reports.
The reports allege that the officer was targeted through a “honey trap” involving individuals posing as a woman on social media and allegedly connected to Pakistani handlers.
According to the reports, the officer allegedly shared information concerning military movements, defence installations, sensitive documents, photographs and videos.
Indian intelligence agencies reportedly kept the officer under surveillance for an extended period before arresting him on May 30, 2026. Details of the arrest reportedly became public after a charge sheet was filed before a court in late July.
The accused is reportedly facing proceedings under India’s Official Secrets Act, while further legal proceedings are underway.
