Karachi (HRNW): The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) organized a solidarity rally to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day, expressing support for the people of Kashmir.
The rally was led by BIEK Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho and attended by Secretary Muhammad Kashif Siddiqui, Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid, along with a large number of board officials and employees.
Participants voiced support for the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir, expressed solidarity with Kashmiris, and raised slogans condemning what they described as human rights violations in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. They reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the people of Kashmir in their pursuit of what they termed their legitimate rights.
Addressing the participants, Chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho said that August 5, 2019, marked a significant turning point when India revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that Pakistan considers the move a violation of international law, United Nations resolutions, and the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.
He further called for the implementation of relevant United Nations resolutions, urging that the people of Kashmir be granted their right to self-determination. He added that the people of Pakistan would continue to support the Kashmiris through what he described as lawful, peaceful, and moral means.
The rally concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and prosperity, for peace and dignity for the people of Kashmir, for the departed, and for unity within the Muslim community.
