Riyadh (HRNW)- Saudi Aramco President and Chief Executive Officer Amin H. Nasser has said that attacks carried out by Yemen’s Houthi rebels did not have any significant impact on the company’s oil production or operational capabilities.
According to the foreign news agency AFP, Amin H. Nasser told journalists that the Houthis attempted to target several Aramco facilities, including installations along the Red Sea coast, during July, but the attacks did not affect the company’s overall production capacity.
He said Saudi Aramco has implemented effective security and operational measures to protect its facilities and ensure the uninterrupted supply of oil, allowing all operations to continue as normal.
The Aramco chief added that despite ongoing regional tensions and conflict, the company delivered strong financial results, recording an approximately 44 percent increase in profit during the period.
According to Amin H. Nasser, these results demonstrate that Saudi Aramco has successfully maintained its energy production while preserving its strong position in the global energy market.
Energy experts say Aramco’s continued production is important for maintaining stability in global energy markets despite persistent concerns over attacks on oil infrastructure in the Middle East.
Analysts also noted that although regional security risks remain, Saudi Aramco’s current performance reflects investor confidence and the resilience of the Saudi energy sector.
