Islamabad (HRNW) – Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif commented on development issues in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), saying, “Bilawal, my son, do not consider Kashmir as Kashmore and Mirpur as Mirpur Khas.”
Nawaz Sharif claimed that after his government, no subsequent administration had taken significant steps for the development of Azad Kashmir and that the motorway project was not completed.
He stated that during his government’s tenure, attention was given to development initiatives and connectivity projects in the region, while later governments failed to take those projects forward.
The statement has sparked political debate, with different parties presenting their own positions regarding past governments’ performance and development projects in Azad Kashmir.
