Doha (HRNW)- U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and former Senior Adviser Jared Kushner have met with Qatari mediators and senior officials in Doha to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and a range of regional issues.
According to Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari, the U.S. delegation is holding consultations with Qatari officials and mediators on several key regional developments.
Al-Ansari said the discussions include recent developments related to Iran, as well as the political and security situation in Lebanon.
The spokesperson clarified that the U.S. delegation’s visit to Doha is not intended for direct talks with Iranian officials at this stage. Instead, the purpose of the visit is to consult with Qatari mediators and assess the broader regional situation.
The meetings reflect Qatar’s continuing role as a diplomatic mediator in efforts to address regional tensions and facilitate dialogue on key Middle East issues.
